Debugging using Zend Server from Firefox

Thanks to Greg Beavers trick on debugging using Zend Server from the CLI I have come up with an equally cool (IMO) trick for Firefox.

Simply drag this link to your Personal Toolbar: Debug in ZDE

Then, edit its link (Right click > Properties) and change the debug_host to your own IP (this link has it set for localhost). Your IP must be in the zend_debugger.allow_hosts php.ini setting for this to work.

Now, you can click the link for any page you want to debug, just like in IE. This doesn't work for posts or anything fancy (I don't think at least, might after you post to the page) but its a start. Anybody want to write an XUL toolbar?

Oh, that rocks! I never even thought to do that. No more url copy, alt tab, f8, paste, $dan->say('aw, crap!'), clear field, alt tab, copy, alt tab, paste again!!!

I was thinking to write a toolbar for ZDE and I think I will .. hmm....
Another idea was to write an extension for Xdebug able to stop/start/breakboint/watch (the syntax highlighted source to be displayed in a sidebar...)

Wow, I just installed it, great toolbar

I don't need the search boxes so I added the othe buttons on the WebDeveloper toolbar and disabled the toolbar.

No! In http://downloads.zend.com/studio/MozillaToolbar/ there old version - v0.8

Just open http://downloads.zend.com/support-files/ and you will see there latest version v1.0.2

Just so everybody on this thread sees it, the new Firefox Toolbar for Zend Studio is now available directly from the Zend website. If you have an older version, you might want to update it with this one.
